I don't really care if you pick up Shepard's Dog, but you owe it to yourself to pick up Our Endless Numbered Days. I/W's debut is pretty good, but the low-fi ness of it gets distracting sometimes. The second album is a huge leap forward in my mind. You should also spend the dollar on iTunes to get Trapeze Swinger, probably his best overall track.

Unfortunately, I'm not really looking forward to anything. There are a few things I haven't picked up yet from the last little while, but the future doesn't look too exciting for me right now.

Any chance I can get you to throw me together a Youtube based playlist? Now that I've got steady computer access, I wouldn't mind checking out some new tunes.

Jesse - you lookin' for clips of this upcoming stuff or the stuff that's already out?

Anything. I've got about 30,000 tracks on my computer ranging from House to hippie shit to Robert Johnson through Jazz, etc. But I've not bought a cd in about 3 years, so I'm pretty much out of the loop on new shit. And I'm probably pretty out of the loop on quite a bit of older shit also. My motto with food, music, and drugs has always been that I'll try anything three times.

I'll see about putting something together for you. In the meantime, Merge is streaming the entire new Spoon album, which based on one listen I think is pretty great - a step up from their also-good last album. http://www.mergerecords.com
